For many people, cannabis is still an illegal and euphoric substance. However, in certain forms, it is perfectly legal, for example in the form of cannabis oil, which contains only CBD. If you want to try CBD oil, here's how you normally consume CBD oil.
Before listing the most common routes, it should be noted that you should not eat or drink for about 15 minutes after ingesting cannabis oil. This gives you the most optimal effect of the oil.
The exact dosage of CBD oil depends on the strength of the oil and your intended use. If you haven't talked about this with your medical marijuana doctor, the best way is just to start a small dose until you find the right dose. So don't purchase a pig in a poke straight away, but find out more about it beforehand.
Just swallow? CBD oils intake done right
The valuable cannabidiol is not simply swallowed. It is suggested that you hold the CBD oil under your tongue for about a minute before swallowing it. Some of the CBD is then absorbed through the lining of the mouth - usually faster than the stomach. It can be swallowed after a minute.
We suspect that only part of the cannabidiol is absorbed through the oral mucosa - the drops should therefore not spit out again after ingestion. The effect occurs faster through the oral mucosa - but you don't have to hold the oil under your tongue. At least some users find it very uncomfortable to take it. Hemp oil has a special taste. If you want to swallow the oil straight away, you can too - it will take a few minutes for the effects to appear.
Do I have to take CBD for a meal?
No. You don't have to take the oil with you. Even an empty stomach digests the substance easily. However, the stomach contents are responsible for how much time passes between ingestion and the onset of action. It takes a little longer when your stomach is full than when your stomach is empty.
How much time is there between ingestion and effect?
There is no general answer to this - I have already described that the fullness of the stomach has an influence on it. Some users report noticeable effects within a period of 15 to 30 minutes after taking CBD. However, absorption through the oral mucosa is extremely rapid - if you hold the oil under your tongue 1-2 minutes after ingestion, only a few moments should pass before the first effects appear.
Other sources of income from CBD oil
In the vaporizer or the e-cigarette
The CBD oil can be consumed in vaporizers/e-cigarettes to ensure that the good substances get into the oil (cannabinoids) and the level of bad substances (toxins) is reduced. We, therefore, recommend that you read your vaporizer/e-cigarette instructions in order to get the most out of the cannabis oil by heating it to the optimal temperature.
If you want to take the oil on a vaporizer/e-cigarette, turn it on to heat the oil. Some vaporizers/e-cigarettes turn on by pressing the power button, while others turn on automatically when you inhale. If this is your first time taking oil in this manner, be sure to read and follow the directions.
You consume cannabis oil by placing your lips on the mouthpiece and inhaling. After a few seconds, exhale the inhaled steam. If you are not aware of the quantity of the oil that your body can manage to stay stable, wait a minute before inhaling again. This minute serves as an indicator of what your body can do if you leave the oil in your body for a minute.
Processed into food
A popular way to consume Cannabinoid (CBD) is through food. The best-known form is hash cake. However, there are many ways to cook with cannabis oil. Here you can find our recipes for cannabis oil.
Before using hemp oil in your kitchen, it is important to know that the oil is not suitable for heating. Therefore, it should not be used for cooking food. CBD is best for cold dishes, salads, smoothies, dressings, and dips.
Which products do we recommend?
The vast majority of experiences come from people who take pure hemp oil. We also believe that classic cannabis oil with a cannabidiol content of at least 5% offers many benefits when ingested:
it s cheap
available in good quality
easy to dose
Alternatives are, for example, the e-liquid with CBD and capsules. In any situation, it must be ensured that hemp oil contains the entire spectrum of natural plant substances.
Our recommendation is clearly CBD oil, as this is where you have the best score.
Duration of action of CBD
Overall, it can be said that CBD works in the body for between four and eight hours. However, how long Cannabinoid (CBD) actually works depends on a number of factors. Everyone reacts differently to CBD, depending on how sensitive you are to the medicine, the effect will last longer or shorter. The form in which CBD is accepted is also important for the duration of the effect. CBD can be smoked, steamed, dripped under the tongue as an oil, taken as a dietary supplement, or used locally in the form of skin creams.
As mentioned above, dosage also plays an important role in influencing the duration of CBD activity. Not to mention the quality of the CBD agent you choose. Another important factor in the length of the CBD effect is the symptom you are trying to combat. When you fall asleep, CBD usually works for several hours.
With CBD, pain can often only be relieved for an hour or two, sometimes only for a few minutes. Therefore, you can only try out for yourself how long CBD works for your purposes, which consumption and dosage form is sufficient, and which CBD concentration is required to combat the symptoms.
Permanent, short-term, or as required
How long should you take cannabidiol oil? Many users ask this question. Some only take it when they are in pain or are restless from time to time, others want to take it permanently.
Permanent use
CBD can be permanently included in the supplement plan - negative consequences are not known. You can do your body a favor with its anti-sinus properties. So far, it has been shown disadvantageous in one study of prolonged use of CBD:
Of course, this is an animal study that cannot be properly applied to humans. But CBD is also used in dogs, for example. Human studies have already shown that cannabidiol has a sedative effect on anxiety disorders and panic attacks. According to this rat study, however, it should be borne in mind that long-term use of CBD oil can also have anxiety-inducing properties. So if you want to take control of your daily anxiety attacks this might not be a good idea - but you can test this for yourself - maybe it is different. It is suitable for occasional anxiety disorders.
Short-term use
It can also be beneficial to take cannabidiol diets. You don't necessarily have to call it a cure. For example, if you have very busy days, CBD can be safely taken during this time to relax and promote sleep. You can also benefit from its pain-relieving properties if you have a temporary illness. If the flu medicine helps relieve stomach pain, it may take time for the flu to persist.
The oil can also be taken during menstruation to relieve abdominal pain - no high dosages are required.
From our point of view, however, it makes little sense to take CBD preventively. For example, taking it for two weeks followed by a four-week break should make little sense.
Ingestion as required
You can take cannabidiol if you have acute needs. There have been reports of migraine users taking CBD when relapses are markedly violent. It can also be used acutely for other pain. So it doesn't have to be taken permanently, nor by a pinch - you can only dribble it under your tongue when needed.
